Renovation of the Pfänder Tunnel
According to ASFINAG, the renovation of the Pfänder Tunnel is planned from 10.03.2025 to 24.10.2025. The focus will be on the lighting system, traffic control, video surveillance, emergency call equipment, doors and gates, fire alarm system, control system, as well as the installation of acoustic tunnel monitoring. Please note that no construction work will take place on weekends or during the summer holidays (12.07.2025 - 09.2025), but use of the route will be restricted during the following periods:
Closures of the Pfänder Tunnel with partial restrictions
Closure of the normal lane from 10.03.2025 - 28.03.2025
Closure of the overtaking lane from 31.03.2025 - 11.04.2025
Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from 14.04.2025 - 30.04.2025 (between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.)
Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from 05.05.2025 - 11.07.2025 (between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.)
Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from 08.09.2025 - 06.10.2025 (between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.)
Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from 14.10.2025 - 24.10.2025 (between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.)
Complete closure of the Pfänder Tunnel
A complete closure of the Pfänder Tunnel will take place from 07.10.2025 to 13.01.2025.
Therefore, please take note of the complete closure as well as the restricted use of the Pfänder Tunnel during other periods, in order to plan for possible delays and, if necessary, use alternative routes.
