Renovation of the Pfänder Tunnel
According to ASFINAG, the renovation of the Pfänder Tunnel is scheduled from March 10, 2025 to October 24, 2025. The focus will be on upgrading the lighting system, traffic control, video surveillance, emergency call system, doors and gates, fire alarm system, control systems, as well as the installation of an acoustic tunnel monitoring system. It is important to note that no construction work will take place on weekends or during the summer holidays (July 12, 2025 - September 2025), but the use of the route will be restricted during the following periods:
Closures of the Pfänder Tunnel with Partial Restrictions
- Closure of the normal lane from March 10, 2025 - March 28, 2025
- Closure of the overtaking lane from March 31, 2025 - April 11, 2025
- Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from April 14, 2025 - April 30, 2025 (between 8 PM and 5 AM)
- Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from May 5, 2025 - July 11, 2025 (between 8 PM and 5 AM)
- Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from September 8, 2025 - October 6, 2025 (between 8 PM and 5 AM)
- Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel from October 14, 2025 - October 24, 2025 (between 8 PM and 5 AM)
Total Closure of the Pfänder Tunnel
A full closure of the Pfänder Tunnel will take place from October 7, 2025 to January 13, 2025.
