Frequently asked questions
Is the check free?
Yes, the validity check is completely free and non-binding. You don't need a customer account or payment details.
What does "officially checked" mean?
For some countries, we ask the responsible authority live (e.g. ASFINAG in Austria). The result then comes directly from the official system, not just from our own database.
And what if only an "internal check" is possible?
In countries without a public authority interface, we instead match your license plate against orders you've placed with us. This is not an official record, but it reliably shows whether a valid vignette is on file with us for this license plate.
Is my license plate stored?
Your license plate is only used for the duration of the check to retrieve the result. No new customer account or order is created from it.
What do I do if no valid vignette is found?
You can then order a new vignette for the respective country right away, without having to start the check again.
