Toll System in Czech Republic
To cover the costs of maintaining motorways and expressways in the Czech Republic, a vignette requirement applies. Since January 2021, the vignette in the Czech Republic is available exclusively in digital form; sticker vignettes are no longer issued.
\r\nA vignette is a mandatory pass for most motorways and expressways in the Czech Republic. It must be purchased and registered to the license plate of cars, motorhomes, and trucks (vehicles with at least four wheels and a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tonnes). Vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tonnes require an electronic on-board unit (On-Board Unit 5051).

\r\nNo. Taxes are levied on the price of the digital vignette, which are already included in the stated price.
\r\nWhich digital vignette do I need for driving from Germany to the Czech Republic?
\r\nDepending on the length of your stay, you will need a 10-day, 30-day, or annual vignette for the Czech Republic. Since March 2024, a 1-day vignette is also available. Since most motorways and expressways in the Czech Republic may only be used without penalty with a valid vignette, this also applies to trips to cities such as Prague, Pilsen, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, or Brno.

\r\nFines and Consequences
\r\nAnyone driving on motorways or expressways in the Czech Republic without a valid vignette faces a fine.
\r\nThe fine is currently up to 5,000 Czech crowns, which is approximately 200 EUR. The exact amount may vary depending on the individual case.
\r\nFixed cameras mounted on so-called toll gantries are used to check the validity of the digital vignette.
