The Mariborsko Pohorje ski resort, together with Areh, is considered the largest ski region in Slovenia and is located in the northeast of the country. The area extends over around 250 hectares and offers more than 35 kilometres of ski slopes. A total of 13 ski lifts are available. The ski season generally runs from mid-December to the end of March.
The variety of slopes ranges from easy to challenging runs, appealing to winter sports enthusiasts of all ability levels. The ski resort is also well known for its family-friendliness. Particularly popular is the Čopova slope, which leads all the way down to the valley. Another highlight is night skiing. Illuminated slopes allow skiing enjoyment well into the evening hours. The night ski slope at Mariborsko Pohorje is one of the longest in Europe.
In addition to alpine skiing, Mariborsko Pohorje offers numerous other winter sports options. These include cross-country skiing, sledging, snowshoeing, and the traditional Pležuh sledge rides.
The Krvavec ski resort is located just 25 kilometres from the capital Ljubljana and 35 kilometres from the municipality of Bled . Due to its proximity to Brnik Airport, it is particularly well suited for international guests. The ski season typically runs from late November to mid-April.
Across around 30 kilometres of slopes at altitudes between 1,450 and 1,971 metres, winter sports enthusiasts will find excellent conditions. The offering caters to both beginners and experienced skiers. The altitude ensures reliable snow conditions and a stunning panoramic view.
A ski school is available for beginners. The offering is complemented by ski hire, ski service, and special facilities for children, including a children's conveyor belt, a carousel, and a practice area with play equipment.
In addition to skiing, night sledging is especially popular. Another highlight is the Krvavec Igloo Village, which offers overnight stays in an extraordinary winter setting.
The Cerkno ski resort is situated on the edge of the Gorenjska region, approximately 50 kilometres from the capital Ljubljana . The ski season runs from mid-December to early March. Cerkno is considered the most modern ski resort in Slovenia and has been awarded the title of the country's best ski centre on multiple occasions.
The slopes are suitable for both beginners and intermediate skiers. The resort is particularly family-friendly, offering an extensive children's and animation programme. A supervised kindergarten provides additional flexibility for parents.
A professional ski school enables beginners to take up winter sports or allows more experienced skiers to specifically improve their technique. Snowboard lessons are also available.

The Rogla ski resort is located in the Pohorje mountains and spans the Podravska and Savinjska regions. The nearest town, Zreče, is around 16 kilometres away. The ski season runs from early December to mid-March.
With a wide selection of slopes for all ability levels, Rogla offers ideal conditions for winter sports enthusiasts. A particular highlight is the Fun Park Rogla as well as night skiing on illuminated slopes.

Rogla has 10 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and also offers the opportunity to organise ski races for groups.
The Stari Vrh ski resort is located around 35 kilometres from the capital Ljubljana and covers approximately 55 hectares. The altitude ranges from 580 to 1,217 metres. The ski season runs from early December to mid-March.
The ski resort offers slopes for beginners and intermediate skiers as well as a snow park for freestylers. In addition, night skiing is possible on an illuminated run of 2.5 kilometres.
In addition to skiing, a sledging run, a bobsleigh run, and several children's playgrounds are available. Furthermore, winter hiking trails and cultural excursion destinations in the surrounding area invite exploration.
The Vogel ski resort is situated above Lake Bohinj in the Triglav National Park at an altitude of 1,535 metres. The ski season runs from December to early March. A total of 22 kilometres of ski slopes are available.
The predominantly easy to intermediate slopes are particularly well suited for beginners. A highlight is the 7.5-kilometre valley descent "Žagarjev graben" with a vertical drop of over 1,200 metres.
The offering includes cross-country skiing, sledging, airboarding, snow rafting, and guided winter hikes and snowshoe tours. Particularly extraordinary is winter paragliding.
The Kranjska Gora ski resort is located in the northwest of Slovenia, close to the borders with Austria and Italy. It covers an area of 70 hectares. The ski season runs from December to March. The slopes connect the villages of Kranjska Gora, Podkoren, and Planica.
While beginners benefit from numerous easy slopes, experts are particularly well catered for in Podkoren, where Ski World Cup races are held regularly. Several ski schools complement the offering.
In addition to skiing, sledging runs, snowshoe tours, ice skating, and evening activities are available.
