Travel Diary Austria: Day 10 & 11
My tenth and eleventh days of travel took me to Lech am Arlberg, a jewel in the Austrian Alps, known for its picturesque beauty and the surrounding Lechquellen Mountains.
Lech am Arlberg welcomed me with its charming village character, surrounded by a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The mix of traditional wooden houses and stylish hotels created an inviting atmosphere. I spent the first day strolling through the cozy streets, enjoying the view of the imposing mountains, and trying local delicacies such as apple strudel in small cafés.
On the eleventh day, a hike in the Lechquellen Mountains was on the agenda. The region is known for its untouched nature and its well-maintained, dreamlike hiking trails. I followed a path that wound through dense forests and across blooming alpine meadows, with impressive views of the surrounding mountains. The silence and purity of nature were overwhelming and offered a perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
After returning to Lech, I rounded off the two days with a relaxed dinner. Regional specialties such as Käsespätzle and a glass of Vorarlberg wine were the perfect conclusion to these two days in one of the most beautiful regions of Austria. Lech am Arlberg and the Lechquellen Mountains offered an ideal combination of village charm and natural beauty.
