Today we devote ourselves to exploring the diverse cultural and historical sights that Pécs has to offer.

Our day begins early in the morning with a walk through the picturesque old town of Pécs, which exudes a charming atmosphere with its narrow alleys, historic buildings, and lively squares. We stroll through the cobblestone streets and admire the well-preserved buildings from various eras, which bear witness to Pécs' rich past.

Our first stop is the imposing Cathedral of Pécs, also known as Pécs Cathedral. This architectural masterpiece from the 11th century is a landmark of the city and an impressive example of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Inside the cathedral, we admire the magnificent frescoes, altars, and artworks that underscore the spiritual and cultural significance of this place.

After our visit to the cathedral, we explore the former Turkish quarter of Pécs, which offers a unique atmosphere with its colorful houses and narrow alleys. Here we visit the famous Mosque of Pécs, an outstanding example of Ottoman architecture and one of the few preserved Ottoman buildings in Hungary. We learn about the history of Ottoman rule and discover more about the cultural heritage of this era.

In the afternoon, we take a walk to the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, a cultural center dedicated to the famous Zsolnay porcelain manufactory. We visit the Zsolnay Museum, where we learn more about the history and unique techniques of Zsolnay ceramics. We admire the exquisite porcelain works and explore the galleries and workshops that keep Pécs' creative heritage alive.
