Toll Sticker Required Routes
In Slovakia there is a large number of toll-vignette-required routes. In order to use them, you must therefore purchase a vignette in advance. If you use vignette-required roads without a vignette, fines may be imposed. Therefore, avoid this risk and pay attention to the vignette-required roads.
Digital Vignette
A vignette requirement applies to almost all motorway and expressway sections in Slovakia. Sections without fees are marked with signs displaying ›BEZ UHRADY‹. The digital vignette (also called e-vignette) for Slovak motorways and expressways replaces the original sticker vignette and has existed since 2020.
Not every vehicle is subject to the vignette requirement. In addition to the vignette requirement, there is also route-based tolling in Slovenia. Which routes are subject to a vignette requirement?
