The Arlbergtunnel is open again!

The Arlberg Tunnel between Tyrol and Vorarlberg is open to traffic again. Since Friday, 22 November, the tunnel can be used once more, bringing the months-long closure to an end.

With the possibility of driving through the 14-kilometre-long tunnel again, your journey time on this route (expressway S16) is reduced by approximately 30 minutes. You no longer need to factor in the detour via the Arlberg Pass.

A further closure of the Arlberg Tunnel is not planned in the coming years, as the fundamental renovation of the tunnel was completed on schedule.
